We're so glad many of you joined us at our "A Mother's Love" dinner and auction earlier this month! A huge "thank you" to our Fundraising VPs, Bendi Saindon and Ginger Przybyla, for organizing such a wonderful night during which we raised thousands of dollars for Aggie scholarships and funding of programs and student organizations at TAMU!

We have a lot more exciting events planned over the next few months including fun social events, hosting the amazing Texas A&M Singing Cadets, the huge Aggie Mom Boutique during Family Weekend in College Station, a few more general meetings and more! 2024-2025 PROPOSED SLATE OF OFFICERS

In case you missed the announcement at our dinner and auction, the Nominating Committee presented the proposed slate of officers for our 2024-2025 board. Our membership will vote on next year's officers at our March general meeting and they will be installed at our May general meeting.

Texas A&M University Health Services will present a Zoom Town Hall for ALL Aggie Moms discussing the wide range of medical and mental health services available to students.

The agenda includes brief presentations by Austin Wilcox, Licensed Professional Counselor, and Brittany Pekar, Assistant Director of Client Services, followed by a Q&A session during which you can ask questions about their services and the ways they can support your students.

Join us for a fun evening with pizza, salad and another great speaker!

Stevan Williamson '82, has spoken for many years on topics including leadership, personal development, tips for success and how to transition from college to the real world. His entertaining insight comes from years of interacting with people as a leader, recruiter, teacher and a father with 30 years experience as a global leader at one of the ten largest companies in the world.

Steve has written several books including: "Welcome to the Real World," "Answers for College Students" and "Answers for Aggies."

An Evite will be sent out in the next few weeks with more details.

TAMU SINGING CADETS CONCERT

SUNDAY, MARCH 24th - MATINEE PERFORMANCE

Save the date! We're excited to once again host this wonderful group of talented vocalists in Houston on their final concert date of the 2023-2024 year.

From humble beginnings as the A&M College of Texas All-Male Glee Club formed in 1893, the Singing Cadets is now in its 122nd touring season.

AGGIE MOMS BOUTIQUE - FAMILY WEEKEND

FRIDAY, 4/12 - SATURDAY, 4/13 - COLLEGE STATION

The huge annual Aggie Moms Boutique, coordinated by The Federation of Aggie Moms' Clubs in the Memorial Student Center (MSC), is coming up in April during Family Weekend! All 111 Aggie Moms Clubs are invited to sell items to raise funds for their scholarships.

This event is our second largest annual fundraiser. We sell a much wider assortment of items at this event than we do at our meetings and online.

Acclaimed artist, Benjamin Knox '90, will join us again on 4/13 to sign and personalize his prints purchased from our booth on 4/12 and 4/13. His autographed prints make very special graduation, ring dunk and other occasion gifts!

Saturday, 4/13, is our organization's second tax-free day of the year (besides auction) so make your dollars go even further by purchasing items from our booth and many of the other booths which also have that day (and/or 4/12) designated as their tax-free day(s) of the year!

We would love to have you volunteer for a few hours while you're visiting your Aggies to help make this event another great success. We'll be sending out a Sign-Up Genius next month.

FINALS CARE PACKAGES

Spring Semester Ordering Deadline: Friday, 3/8

Care Packages may only be purchased by current membersof the Houston Aggie Moms' Club:Houston Aggie Moms' Club - Finals Care Packages: Spring 2024 Only (membershiptoolkit.com)

NOTE: If you purchased "fall and spring" care packages last fall, you do not need to purchase the "spring only" care package. If you are unsure, you can view your previous orders in your account (upper banner on the right side) or contact our Finals Care Package VPs.

Spring theme: "Let's Sweep those Finals!" Care packages include various Aggie-themed items and snacks.

Pick-up Details: Friday, April 26th, 10:00AM – 3:00PM

TAMU Hotel & Conference Center (177 Joe Routt Blvd)

Galveston orders will need to be picked up from the Care Package VPs in Houston unless we have volunteers who will take them to the Galveston campus. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact: carepackages@houstonaggiemoms.org

MOMS OF SENIOR AGGIES GIFT

Do you have a senior Aggie graduating during the 2023-2024 academic year? Congratulations to you and your Aggie!!!

Every year, the Houston Aggie Moms' Club gives a special gift to the mothers, grandmothers and guardians of our graduating Senior Aggies at our May general meeting!

2023–2024 Guidelines

• The Senior Aggie must be graduating in the 2023-2024 academic year (December 2023, May 2024 or Summer 2024)

• The Mother is required to be an active member with dues paid

• The Mother must attend six (6) meetings or club activities within the past year

• The Mother must submit the application form on or before Monday, April 1, 2024

How do you apply? Log on to your Houston Aggie Moms' Club account and you'll see a form for each of your Aggies (we didn't limit it by class year since they may graduate before or after their class year). Click on the form for only your graduating senior and let us know six events and/or meetings you have attended this year.

REMINDER: NO APRIL GENERAL MEETING DUE TO FAMILY WEEKEND
