It's almost Spring Break, but don't forget to order your spring finals care packages by the deadline at midnight TONIGHT if you didn't order both fall and spring packages last fall!

We have a lot more exciting events planned over the next few months including our March general meeting on 3/21, hosting the amazing Texas A&M Singing Cadets on 3/24, the huge Aggie Mom Boutique during Family Weekend in College Station on 4/12-13, our May general meeting and more!

NOTE: If you purchased fall and spring care packages last fall, you do not need to purchase the "spring only" package. If you are unsure, you can view your previous orders in your account (upper banner on the right side) or contact our Finals Care Package VPs.

Spring theme: "Let's Sweep those Finals!" Care packages include various Aggie-themed items and snacks.

MARCH GENERAL MEETING

Join us for a fun evening of pizza, salad, socializing, shopping and another great speaker!

Stevan Williamson '82, has spoken for many years on leadership, personal development, tips for success and how to transition from college to the real world. His entertaining insight comes from years of interacting with people as a recruiter, teacher and a father with 30 years of experience as a global leader at one of the ten largest companies in the world.

Steve has written several books including: "Welcome to the Real World," "Answers for College Students" and "Answers for Aggies."

Our Boutique will be set up with some special new items including a patented curved wine bucket. Guera Hats will have a table set up with an assortment of Aggie game day hats just in time for baseball season, summer fun and fall football games! Support our Aggies when you shop - proceeds fund our scholarships and TAMU programs!

TAMU SINGING CADETS: HOUSTON CONCERT

SUNDAY, 3/24 - 3:00-5:00PM MATINEE

Invite your family and friends to a wonderful afternoon of inspirational music at The Texas A&M University Singing Cadets' final concert of 2023-2024!

From humble beginnings as the "A&M College of Texas All-Male Glee Club" that formed in 1893, the Singing Cadets is now in its 122nd touring season. Internationally known as the "Voice of Aggieland," they perform for more people than any other collegiate choral group in the United States.

General admission tickets are only $10. Sponsor this event and enjoy reserved seating toward the front of the sanctuary and recognition in the program for $100 or more. Reserved sponsor seating will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis, depending on the purchase date, with higher levels closest to the front, so place your sponsorship order now! AGGIE MOMS' BOUTIQUE - FAMILY WEEKEND

FRIDAY, 4/12 - SATURDAY, 4/13 - COLLEGE STATION

Don't miss the huge annual Aggie Moms Boutique, coordinated by The Federation of Aggie Moms' Clubs in the Memorial Student Center (MSC) during Family Weekend! All Aggie Moms' Clubs are invited to sell items to raise funds for their scholarships.

This event is our second largest annual fundraiser with proceeds funding our Aggie scholarships and TAMU organizations and programs. We sell a much wider assortment of items at this event than we do at our meetings and online.

Acclaimed artist, Benjamin Knox '90, will join us again on 4/13 to sign and personalize his prints purchased from our booth on 4/12 and 4/13. His autographed prints make very special graduation, Ring Day, Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, birthday and other occasion gifts!

Saturday, 4/13, is our second tax-free day of the year (besides auction) so make your dollars go even further by purchasing items from our booth and many of the other booths that also have that day (and/or 4/12) designated as their tax-free day(s)!

ANNOUNCEMENTS/REMINDERS

MOMS OF SENIOR AGGIES GIFT

Do you have a senior Aggie graduating during the 2023-2024 academic year? Congratulations to you and your Aggie!!!

Every year, the Houston Aggie Moms' Club gives a special gift to the mothers, grandmothers and guardians of our graduating Senior Aggies at our May general meeting!

2023–2024 Guidelines

• The Senior Aggie must be graduating in the 2023-2024 academic year (December 2023, May 2024 or Summer 2024)

• The Mother is required to be an active member with dues paid

• The Mother must attend six (6) meetings or club activities within the 2023-2024 club year

• The Mother must submit the application form on or before Monday, April 1, 2024

How do you apply? Log on to your Houston Aggie Moms' Club account and you'll see a form for each of your Aggies: Houston Aggie Moms' Club - Home (membershiptoolkit.com)

We didn't limit the form by class year since your Aggies may graduate sooner or later. Click on the form for your graduating senior and let us know six events and/or meetings you have attended this year.

FINANCIAL REVIEW COMMITTEE

Do you have accounting or financial experience and are interested in a low-time commitment role to serve our club?

At our March general meeting, we will elect three volunteers and two alternates to serve on our Financial Review Committee. Members who have not served more than two consecutive years and do not have club signatory rights are eligible. Accounting and/or financial experience is preferred.

This committee will review our treasurer's books after the year closes on May 31st, but no later than June 30th. The committee will be given a checklist and our treasurer will be available to answer questions. The committee will draft a report and the chair will present the results and recommendations at the September board meeting and general meeting. Then, your service is complete!

Please reply to this message if you would like to be nominated to serve on the committee. Of course, we hope you'll be at the March meeting anyway, but you do not need to be present to be elected!
